Welcome to first grade!

I am so excited to get to know you this year. I can't wait to get to know all of you and partner together this year.

Smart Start:

I will be doing our smart start Sept 8th, 9th and 10th. You can sign up via skyward. You will have 20 minutes with me and then head over the gym/multipurpose room to meet more staff and fill out some papers. PTA will also be there, make sure you get some Hawk Gear!

 

Learning Platform:

We will be using Seesaw in our classroom. I have set this up in case of a class, school or district wide shut down.

 

Education and Experience:

I have been teaching elementary for 8 years. This is my 7th year teaching first grade. This is my third year at Tumwater Hill. I have my Bachelors degree from Pacific Lutheran University and my Masters from City University of Seattle. I am also a National Geographic Certified Educator. I taught 10 years of preschool on and off before deciding to teach elementary.

 

About me:

I am originally from Boulder, Colorado. I am married. My husband is from Queens, NY. We have a 10 year old dog named Blade. We have a 3 year old son as well. I have a passion for all the subjects that I teach. I really love STEM. STEM is Science Technology Engineering and Math. I can't wait to see your creativity in our STEM challenges that we do between science kits.
